Gaara is a shinobi of the Hidden Sand Village. Even before he was born, he was transformed into a jinchūriki of the One-Tailed Shukaku by the Chiyo Sand Village elder and his father Rasa. Having no connection with anyone, Gaara grew up with a hatred of the world and only cared about himself, justifying his existence by killing everyone who gets in his way. After being defeated in a battle with Naruto Uzumaki – the same jinchūriki who found strength in friendship – Gaara decides to imitate him. A few years later, he becomes the Fifth Kazekage to protect the Sand Village and its inhabitants, as well as allay his fear of himself.
